An evening of Inspiration – “Be Bold, Be Brave, Be Happy”

meLLE Photographer’s lead photographer, Claire Wilson, will be taking part in an evening of inspiration: “Be Bold. Be Brave. Be Happy”, at the Angel Hotel, Helston, on the 14th June, 7pm – 9.30pm.

Motivational Coach and Trainer, Maria Hocking, and Belinda Plant, author of the self help book “The Seven Jewels of Life” will be offering the general public an evening of inspiration. Maria and Belinda will be sharing their own personal journeys and will be joined by guest speakers.

Claire’s story of personal change started at the end of 2014. She was a full time personal assistant to a CEO in a busy, local charity, but she wasn’t happy. She wanted to do something more meaningful in her life…something that reflected her personality and the things that she enjoyed.

In 2015, Claire established the company ‘LLE Photography’ following years of part time freelance work. She has a strong core ethic of giving back to society and hopes that this is reflected in the business. Claire offers her services to local charities at a discounted rate, as well as offering some voluntary work. She is also hoping that 2016 will see the launch of a partnership with a local charity to offer workshops to those recovering from mental health problems so that they may find focus and build confidence.

Claire says “We are asked from an early age what it is we are going be when we grow up. We are taught that we have to be something: a nurse; a doctor; a fireman. We are taught that we should have a career. Not once are we taught to be ourselves…to follow our dreams. Instead we try to fit our complicated lives into a two dimensional model that doesn’t work. We can be quite determined to stick to our chosen path, even though it could be completely wrong for us. It can even make us ill. Sometimes, we don’t even know what it is that we want to do with our lives until quite late in life but when you find what it is you want to do, doing it will make you feel amazing”.

“All speakers have one thing in common,” Maria Hocking states. “We have all been through challenging times, and have used these times to learn and grow and pursue happier and more fulfilling lives. United, we want to show people that they should accept nothing less than happiness. It’s never too late to change.”

The event will cost £5, payable on the evening, but pre- booking is essential. To book your place, please call Maria Hocking on 07922 046740 or email
