Royal Visit to Cornwall

Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Truro last Thursday as part of their Royal Visit to Cornwall. I was honoured to be included in the Royal Rota.

On behalf of the Cathedral, I took photographs of the event and was delighted to be taking even a small part in such a great occasion for the city.

Their Royal Highnesses were there to sign a slate to help raise awareness of the Cathedral’s “Sign a Slate” appeal.

Large crowds gathered around the town to see the couple’s arrival and were all excited to greet them.  Some, in fact, arrived outside the cathedral before 8 in the morning!

The weather was glorious, and the morning went without hitch.

It was the biggest honour to have worked with the Truro Cathedral for this event, a part of the Royal Visit to Cornwall, and I am delighted with the results.
