National recognition for my photographs!
I am pleased to announce that I have been awarded a Silver in the Guild of Professional Photographers “Image of the Month” Competition. A competition which typically attracts over a thousand entries every month.
The Guild of Photographers is a highly regarded national photographic body, of which I am a proud member.
Membership to the Guild shows a commitment to delivering the highest standards of customer service and a dedication to enhancing skills in the art, craft and profession of photography.
The photograph “Man in Chains” was taken last year, with makeup artist Michele Bromley creating the true magic behind the image. With fake blood, chains and a lot of work, Michele created a truly stunning transformation of the wonderful Tim.
And it was Tim who acted out the part rather than pose, who helped make this image come to life.
Special Effects Model Photography is something that I love to do when I am looking for an inspiring project to work on in between client shoots. Not least because it is a way to test out lighting techniques, studio set ups and to create something new…unseen. It is a way of developing and encourage true creativity. The learnings from these shoots can be used in any situation.
The shoots are also a great experience for developing good working relationships with makeup artists as well as models, and it is about learning to work in collaboration. Because photography is always more than the image itself.
The Silver Bar is only awarded to images that are very well crafted. The judging is undertaken by a panel of internationally recognised experts from a variety of photographic backgrounds.
It is something that I am absolutely delighted to receive.
Portrait photography is something that I like to specialise in for LLE-Photography. You can see more here: https://lle-photography.co.uk/commercial-photography/portrait-photography-cornwall/
